Sr. Mary Jane Kleindorfer, Home Visitors of Mary, passed to her eternal reward on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the IHM Care Center in Monroe after more than 60 years as a Sister, Home Visitors of Mary. 

Viewing will be at 9:30 am, Thursday, May 23, at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Detroit.  Funeral will follow at the church at 10:00 am and burial at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.

Born in 1929, Sr. Mary Jane entered the Home Visitors of Mary from Evansville, IN, in 1962.  She served in many Detroit parishes through the years, primarily at St. Augustine -St. Monica (St. Edward-St. Catherine) and St. Anne’s in Warren where she served as director of the Senior Citizen Center.  In 2011 she moved to McAuley Center for assisted living. 

Although legally blind from childhood, Sr. Mary Jane led a very interactive life, including music and dance which she joyfully shared with others.  Click here to watch YouTube video of her 2010 line dancing class at St. Anne’s >>> line dancing.
